Oil Prices at 3-Year Highs

After yesterday's account statements stock markets opened in the red zone. At the start of the trading day the Dow Jones index opened immediately -250pp and continued to decline throughout the auction.

Against the background of political conflicts, oil prices continued to rise during yesterday's trading session. The price of the Brent crude oil rose above $72 per barrel. In the United States data on crude oil inventories released yesterday supported the growth of quotations. Right now we expect prices to rebound from 3-yearly highs. As of the time of writing this article, the price of Brent crude oil is below $72 per barrel and has lost about 0.35% in price today.

Today we expect the publication of the ECB's monetary policy protocols, which can both strengthen and weaken the single currency. There will also be speeches by members of the ECB's Coeure and the Bundesbank's Weidmann. Toward the end of today's session the Bank of England's head Carney will also give an interview.
